Divided into two groups, sixteen sailboats from the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, carrying about a hundred sailors, took part in two wonderful days of racing. On Saturday, August 22, 2026, the first day of racing took place in a steady Mistral wind of around 25 knots.
This wonderful regatta weekend came to a close on Sunday, August 23, 2026, with the traditional crew dinner, attended by the Pourchet family, followed by the awards ceremony at the legendary restaurant Les Salins in Saint-Tropez.
Competitors once again turned out in force for this summer event, created 33 years ago by Robert and France Pourchet. In their memory, their family—notably their son Eric Pourchet (Société VSC) and their grandchildren, including Arthur, Stéphanie, and Audrey—has been keeping this event alive for the past seven years in the same family-oriented and festive spirit.
Under the direction of Jean-Pierre Epoudry, the race committee of the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez successfully adapted to the heavy traffic in the Gulf at this time of year. The first day, intense and competitive, featured two races sailed in a Mistral accompanied by strong gusts. On Sunday, the final day took place under milder conditions, with a northeast wind of 5 to 10 knots.
Members of the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez thus rediscovered the joy of racing with family and friends, while passing on their passion for sailing to the younger generation.
True to tradition, the competitors gathered early Sunday afternoon at Les Salins for a festive meal, enlivened by the talented saxophonist Norman Sax, who warmly contributed to the atmosphere.
TABOO and BLACK MAGIC Take the Top Spots, and OVERDOSE NEO Wins the 2026 Robert Pourchet Trophy
After three races in the Osiris Jaune group, the TABOO crew, led by Pierre Schuermans, took first place ahead of JADE, skippered by Jean Claude Laborde, and L’AUTRE FEMME, skippered by Lionel Michon and Sabrina Errerro.
In the Osiris Mauve Group, César Chuffart’s BLACK MAGIC team finished first in the standings, ahead of LADY JO with Pierre Roinson and BIM3 with Jérémy Combe
OVERDOSE NEO, with Sylvain Bretagne, won the prestigious Pourchet Trophy as the boat with the youngest crew on board.
During the awards ceremony, the President of the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, Pierre Roinson, made a point of warmly thanking the Pourchet family for their long and extraordinary loyalty to this event, as well as the competitors and all the volunteers at sea and on land
