Paprec 600 Saint-Tropez for offshore enthusiasts from April 17 to 25, 2026!

The PAPREC 600 Saint-Tropez is a Mediterranean offshore race created in 2010 by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez. It will start on April 20, 2026!

The magnificent 600 MN course in the Mediterranean offers racers the chance to measure themselves, set records, train and qualify for other major ocean races.

This is thanks to the involvement of PAPREC, which became the race’s title partner in 2023.

The Paprec 600 Saint Tropez race promises to be a very sporting affair, with the participation of IRC-rated yachts, both crewed and double-handed, as well as IMOCA boats, Class 40s and, new for 2026, the Sun Fast 30 One Design class and MK2-rated multihulls.

Renowned by all sailors, this is a demanding offshore race, with a course that sometimes features surprising weather conditions… Enough to attract all offshore enthusiasts and a few professional sailors!

Like Louis Burton (winner of the first edition in 2010) Alexia Barrier Clément Giraud Sebastien Hugues and Jean-Guillem Destremau Adrien and Robin Follin Jean-Pierre Dick or Mikael Mergui (2025 winner and current record holder) and so many other sailors who have taken part in this Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez ocean race.

This race is also a good training ground for professionals and amateurs of Transatlantic racing, with a view to other major events such as the Vendée Globe, the Transquadra, the Figaro, the Route du Rhum, the Transat Jacques Vabre and so on. It should be noted that this event also counts towards the Mediterranean Offshore IRC Championship, and is a selective competition for offshore races, particularly Class 40s.

With all its nautical adventures, everyone will be able to follow the race live on the link that will be broadcast on the website and on social networks!

A fine run in the Mediterranean and Mikael Mergui’s record to beat

The Paprec 600 Saint-Tropez course offers a series of navigation zones combining endurance strategy and mastery of offshore sailing.

The non-stop route from Saint-Tropez will take in the Bouches de Bonifacio, then round a number of Italian islands (Giglio, Gorgona, Montecristo) before reaching the Giraglia Passage and returning to Saint-Tropez.

Stopovers and possible repairs are authorized in accordance with Race Rule 45. A procedure will allow the boat to stop and return to the race.

As he does every year, after a meticulous check of the files and safety equipment of the competing boats, Race Director Georges Korhel will call a meeting of all the skippers on the eve of the start of the race, i.e. April 20, 2026.

3 days 14 hours 11 minutes and 49 seconds is the real time record to beat set in 2025 by Mikaël Mergui and Richard Robini on the Class 40 CENTRAKOR.

Nearly thirty IRC or Class-rated yachts have entered the competition, and there are still more to come… Other classes can be admitted on request.
