The Nations League wraps up its 2025 season with record participation and new prospects
Saint-Tropez, France – October 8, 2025
For the very first time, The Nations Trophy will be held in Saint-Tropez, with the support of the City of Saint-Tropez and the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, marking the grand finale of the 2025 Nations League and the conclusion of ClubSwan Racing’s exceptional season.
Launched in 2017 to revive the concept of friendly competition between nations, The Nations Trophy has quickly become the center of Swan’s universe. Held every two years, previous editions took place in Palma de Mallorca (2017, 2019, 2021) and Porto Cervo (2023). The 2025 edition will be held in Saint-Tropez for the first time, bringing together a record fleet of 50 Swan yachts representing 15 nations, with sailors from more than 30 countries.
“The ClubSwan world is of great value to our shipyard,“ says Giovanni Pomati, CEO of Nautor Swan. “Since the 1980s, we have wanted to organize events exclusively dedicated to the Swan world. A few years ago, we responded to the desire of many owners to compete in high-level one-design classes while preserving the typical Swan atmosphere, and we created ClubSwan Racing. Starting this year, we’re opening the Nations Trophy regattas to the rating system, allowing many Swans to participate.”
This one-of-a-kind event will not only bring together the world’s top Swan One Design teams in the ClubSwan 50, 43, 42, 36, 45, and 28, but will also welcome, for the first time, the Swan Rating fleet, thereby uniting the entire Swan community for an unforgettable celebration on the water. Over five days of racing and four nights of festivities, Saint-Tropez will become the setting for a true festival of sports and camaraderie.
An Exceptional Fleet at Sea
The Nations Trophy in Saint-Tropez will feature an impressive lineup of talent: Olympic medalists, America’s Cup legends, and top international sailors. Pietro Sibello (coach of Alinghi Red Bull Racing) will be aboard Lady Ghada, while Olympic medalists Mikaela Wulff, Luke Patience, Nicholas Heiner, Nick Rogers, and Will Ryan will compete among the fleets. Jochen Schümann, a three-time Olympic gold medalist, will sail aboard Olymp, and Taylor Canfield, helmsman for SailGP USA, will compete with Freya.
A season finale full of suspense
The 2025 Nations Trophy will determine not only the top-performing nation of the week, but also the winners of the 2025 Nations League. In the ClubSwan 50 class, Earlybird leads with a comfortable advantage over Hatari. In the ClubSwan 42 fleet, Pez de Abril and Nadir are separated by just five points. In the ClubSwan 36 class, Fra Martina holds a narrow three-point lead over Goddess and G Spot. In the ClubSwan 28 division, Marcello leads ahead of Anya Race, which won the last leg in Scarlino.
The ClubSwan 28 fleet will also welcome prominent new entries in Saint-Tropez, such as J. Cross, commodore of the NYYC, aboard Freya, William Douglass aboard Goombay Smash, German owner Jan Adam, and the Sanlorenzo team led by Ferruccio Rossi, highlighting the rapid growth and international appeal of this one-design class.
Beyond the Regattas
While the competition is in full swing at sea, Saint-Tropez will offer a packed program on land: daily awards ceremonies, exclusive gatherings for owners, and the highly anticipated Swan Soirée on Saturday, reserved for participants. The combination of high-level competition and Mediterranean hospitality promises an unforgettable week for all participants and guests.
During the Nations Trophy, DENZA, the BYD Group’s premium electric brand, will further enhance the on-site experience: a fleet of high-end vehicles will provide a shuttle service for owners and guests.

A unique celebration of the ClubSwan spirit
The brand-new Swan 51, unveiled at the Cannes Boat Show a month ago, will make its racing debut with the rating fleet. “The Swan 51 is elegant, powerful, and perfectly balanced in every way, ” says Filip Beyens, owner of Volpe and the new Swan 51, both based in Saint-Tropez. “With the ClubSwan 50, I’m diving into the adrenaline of the ClubSwan circuit: precision, competition, teamwork. With the Swan 51, I’m rediscovering the other side of sailing: cruising, exploration, and sharing. Racing fuels my competitive spirit, but the Swan 51 also reminds me why I love sailing.”
By hosting the One Design and Rating fleets for the first time, the 2025 Nations Trophy will embody the full spectrum of the ClubSwan spirit, celebrating performance, passion, and community, both at sea and on shore.
