Once past the Cape of Saint-Tropez, the racing yachts eased their sheets or hoisted their downwind sails as they headed toward the Giraglia Rock, off the coast of Corsica.   <br\/>After rounding the iconic Giraglia Rock, the fleet will set course north toward the finish line in Genoa, where a warm welcome will await them at the Yacht Club Italiano.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Maxis were the first to set sail: Lindsay Owen Jones\u2019 Verdier 100 \u201cMagic Carpet E\u201d and Benussi Furio\u2019s Don Jones 100 \u201cARC SGR\u201d got off to a strong start at speeds exceeding ten knots. \u201cCapricorno,\u201d \u201cMy Song,\u201d and \u201cProteus\u201d also got off to an excellent start.
